The Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League (CJSL) has officially announced its 2025 NYC Cosmopolitan Boys Winter Showcase, and this year’s lineup of participating colleges proves one thing—New York City’s youth players have the full attention of college soccer’s elite.
From Division I giants like St. John’s University and Long Island University, to Division II programs such as Adelphi and Molloy, to Division III contenders including Hunter, Maritime, and Brooklyn College, the showcase brings together more than 20 colleges representing every level of NCAA competition.
This year’s tryout-based program runs November 10 through December 1, 2025, culminating in the College Showcase Match on December 1 at Queens College Varsity Field. The showcase will be held at Queens College Varsity Field in Flushing and Manhattan College’s Gaelic Park in the Bronx throughout November. Players will first attend open tryouts, with selected participants invited back for a second stage the following week. Registration is open now 1 and hundreds of players from the classes of 2026 and 2027 are expected to compete for roster spots.
“College coaches want to recruit players who reflect New York’s competitive spirit—grit, intelligence, and adaptability,” said Max Watson, CJSL First Vice President. “That’s why they keep coming back. The Winter Showcase is where they find the next generation of collegiate athletes.”
The particpating colleges represent some of the most respected programs in the region—many of which have deep ties to New York City’s soccer community. St. John’s University has been a perennial Big East powerhouse, while Adelphi and Molloyhave built strong Division II reputations for producing technically sharp players. At the D3 level, Maritime, Farmingdale, and Hunter consistently compete for SUNY and regional honors.
The showcase continues CJSL’s partnership with andGO Sports, a New York–based company that helps student-athletes connect with colleges that fit their academic and athletic profiles. Founded in 2008, andGO Sports has worked with hundreds of college coaches and recruits nationwide.
“We’ve walked in the same shoes as these players,” said Marco Da Fonte, Co-Founder of andGO Sports. “We know what it takes to make the leap to college soccer—and we’re proud to help them find their place.”
The Winter Showcase is part of CJSL’s long-term mission to make soccer a pathway to education, leadership, and opportunity. The league, founded in 1933, is the oldest youth soccer league in New York City and an affiliate of US Youth Soccer and the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association.
For many players, the CJSL Winter Showcase isn’t just an event—it’s the first step toward playing under the NCAA lights.
